The three major professional tours came together for the first time at the recent Global Padel Tennis Summit to discuss the future market and potential of padel tennis courts.
Rob Mitchell, representing Premier Padel, the world's largest and most lucrative tour, was one of the heavyweights at the Malaga event. He was joined on the main stage by Marcos Del Pilar from the USPA and Sergio Lewin from the Hexagon Cup, which debuted in Madrid in January this year, for a discussion.
Firstly, I'd like to thank the Padel World Summit for hosting a fantastic opening event in Malaga – it was great to see attendees from all over the world come together to discuss the huge potential and future of the market for professional padel tennis courts worldwide. The diversity of the summit attendees in itself is an indication of where the sport is heading and reveals how emerging markets are embracing our amazing sport.
This further strengthens our belief at Premier Padel - this year, our tour will host 25 events in 17 countries, and we have successfully held several wonderful events in places such as the Middle East, Europe, and South America. We look forward to taking our game to more new places in the rest of the season and contributing to the global development of padel tennis. We have a key role to play in shaping the future of this sport and bringing it to the global stage.
Clearly, there is a lot of excitement around the world about the future of padel tennis, especially in the US – but at the same time, it was very exciting to speak to attendees from all over the world who were passionately discussing the potential of padel tennis in new markets in Asia, Africa, and even Europe. At Premier Padel, we are happy to hear these voices as we work to bring our tour to more fans and new regions. "
As a rapidly growing sport around the world, padel tennis is gradually gaining a foothold in the sports landscape. It attracts a wide range of participants with its unique gameplay and low entry barriers. According to the International Padel Federation (FIP), there are more than 25 million padel tennis enthusiasts worldwide, and the participation population of the sport has doubled in the past five years.
So now there is still a considerable demand for padel tennis courts in the world. If you need to build a padel tennis court in your club or community, you can contact us!
